IF auto-attack is based on a toggle, you could toggle it off, knock your arrows, then commence fire again.
Or knocked arrows could be "stored" and not used until you fire off another skill.

Or the best option is an auto-attack like the melee's have. They have auto attack, then they have regular physical attacks on their skill bar. Your auto-attack could fire, and you can still have Light Shot on your skill bar for knocked arrows.

My point is, WHO KNOWS? You don't and I don't. The Devs do.
First of all, Auto-Attack is not based on a toggle, you pull out your weapon and when you target something you attack.

Secondly, If you honestly think your going to be able to Auto-Attack and nock and arrow for a different skill, your delusional. Not only does that not make any sense, but all the Manual attacks are not on the list of skills for each class. Every Class gets 15 skills, they are all accounted for.

Finally, and most importantly, Knock is not on the list of skills. It has been removed from the game.
