I'm a thm I lucked out, my bf a Gladiator slowly but surely is starting to come around on his class after this, except they gave too many tanking abilities to other classes that will still be able to DD while GLD can't dd as effectively and will probably not be able to tank as well post this patch. But we need to see this stuff in practice. I'm more pumped about jobs and classes in the mid game content right now, then leveling for sure though. Leveling sounds like a readjustment process, I wonder if they'll increase fight length, mob defense, and such, make combo timers and chain timers lengthened, sorta closer to xi. The battle system while leveling is a basic zerg mob dies in 30 secs, not giving people to effectively learn how to combo.

The fact there are no tiers to is really saving this system also.
I'm pretty curious about the Combo System myself. As it stands, none of my party fights last more than a few seconds. What use it a Combo if everything dies after the first skill. I'd say they were for bosses, but most of the Bosses in this game Require you to constantly avoid high damage skills.
