When is SE going to do something real to fix the issues with housing?

Housing Abuse is literally the biggest thing that gets my blood boiling in ffxiv and it seriously pisses me off how lazy SE applies bandaids that help for a full 10 minutes then it's fucked again. God damnt, tired of being screwed over because I can't be at the computer waiting for demolitions when people own 10 houses between alts and I can't even have 1 small plot to call home.

Stop blaming SE for your two year laziness. SE has attempted to solve the housing issue, potentially, the best they could. You have understood the lack of housing for two years. What do individuals do when their environment changes? They adapt or crumble in failure. Here a few ways you could have adapted.

1. Save gil and buy house legit
2. Save gil and buy in black market
3. Set your alarm, on housing patch day, and buy.
4. Stalk housing areas and find a demo house.

I have no empathy towards you. Stop blaming other players for your lack of saving, planning, and jealousy.

Also, you could have a house already and are just stirring the pot.

No one is asking that one be handed to them. They're asking that they have the opportunity to buy one. Or at least something similar - not the garbage consolation prize that is an apartment.

Dude you are way too angry at this. And I wasn't saying that's what people are asking for. I am simply stating that the developers can't, or won't, hand out houses to everyone for whatever reason. It is an issues they are constantly working on and they keep tweeking to see what works and yes offer alternatives. I actually like my apartment and the only reason why I would want a house is for a garden. If it wasn't for that I would be completely happy with just the apartment.

No one wants a damn handout. They want a chance to buy something. Not people with 10 alts who are always on in the 3 minutes housing are open to snatch everything up. The apartment is terrible. It does nothing and is tiny. It is a slap in the face delivered about 3 years too late.

Apartments are barely better than free company rooms so why should I even care if I already have one...

Really they could have made apartments at least have a bedroom, living room and a kitchen or something.

What is with you and handouts I'm not talking about handouts, I'm telling you they have reasons for not having players all get houses. As others have mentioned before it is something that is limited for a purpose, that is all I am saying nothing about rights or demands or handouts.

Not to hate or anything. But the housing will never be fixed. I am not sure how multiple other games can get it to work but SE servers are run by a water wheel. But as long as they never cap servers and keep trying to make the current system work for everyone (which they have proven they can't).

Maybe people are right, they want you to give them more money to transfer or maybe they don't want everyone to have a house.

I have seen suggested time and again housing be instanced tied to account(charged) and shared by all alts on server. A few times suggested retainers be removed and inventory be tied to house. I guess for everyperson bad mouthing the OP the world still has dreamers.
