[EU] Help! New player!

Hello everyone,

as stated above, im a new player.

Im currently on the server Zodiark and have a level 18 Gladiator.

Now I have the feeling the server I am on, is quite empty.

Perhaps people could give me recommendation which Server is popular?

Also, I am looking for a friendly guild to join Perhaps someone has a free spot? (Im willingly to switch server)

I prefer guilds that use Teamspeak/Discord as their VoIP service and with a mature audience.

Previous experience: Black desert on the server Croxus. Guild leader of a top guild called ''BANE"

Zodiark is a (relatively) low-populated server, true. How much of a problem that might be, is another question. When you queue up in Duty Finder for dungeons and such, the players will be drawn from all the servers in that datacenter - so queue times will be the same for all those servers.

Well my highest priority is getting into a community (guild) to play with and learn from. I am however concerned how healthy the playerbase is. As I rather play with the people from own server rather then from others. Is this game out of veteran players or is there still a steady stream of new players, I usually want to know this before I decide to spend a ridiculous amount of time in it.

Things to consider is that much of the endgame population is likely at endgame cities, and much of your lower level stuff will be done through the cross-server Duty Finder option. Later on, you will unlock the "Party Finder" and will be able to do more stuff with people same-server or post "Seeking a free company" requests, etc.

This game does try to emphasize Duty Finder over doing stuff same-server, as does the community. There are, however contents in endgame that are built more for statics and not randoms.

Hey Lawkins and welcome to FFXIV! Looks like you're on a NA server instead of an EU server. The EU servers are all on the Chaos data center and they're Ragnarok (Legacy), Cerberus, Moogle, Odin, Shiva, Phoenix and Lich. EU servers are likely to have more people on at your play times (if you're playing during European evenings) and they'll also draw people from other EU servers to Duty Finder. Of these servers, Ragnarok is the oldest and Lich is the least populated one. Moogle is known for having many French players while Shiva has a lot of German players. There are English speaking players on all these servers though. I suggest checking them from the server forums and see what they seem and perhaps if you could find a Free Company that would seem to be what you're looking for: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/669.

Thank you for the tips and help, I found my place and im currently on Phoenix, that server is bustling with players and already found a company ^^
