Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

I want the tall elegant warrior females that have been represented through out the series. If the other Ivalice races can be so faithfully be brought in to the game there is no reason why Viera should have any less dedication as Bangaa and Seeq ( to say nothing of actual FFXII Characters).

Why should Viera not get the same treatment? Would it truly be a so wrong to have a playable race identified as tall, elegant, mature warriors, as they are depicted in FFXII (and other titles)?


While on the soap box... I am in favor of the males being made more effeminate this round. While it's not my taste the fact that all males are taller than the females of their own race has been done enough by now. While i detest the idea of the child forms being used (Viera), thee addition of males in a given race being slightly shorter than their female counter parts should be considered. An oppertunity missed with the xaela.

the shoeless could be foot bracers for the Viera instead. i think what really is the issue is and ability change how shoes are to appear on the Viera

And what if the Viera wear ankle bracelets, instead of boots ? The modeling of the braclets I don't think that time consuming.

I'm probably late to this party.. but I'll post my support anyways.

I would love to see the tall Amazonian Viera from FF12 become a playable race. I know we have Elezen and Roe ladies, but after playing one of each I just didn't fall in love. Since FF12 however, I have been in LOVE with Viera. And I am sad to see them called Hyur with bunny ears. They are far from it! But I worry abiut their implementation, things could go the way of the Au Ra. Speaking if Au Ra really quick.. to those who say we could of had something more bestial race; we almost did. Yet we got shafted with the cat people with scales. And it really infuriates me with the direction they took. So that movement seems to fall on death ears for SE, which is really sad because Au Ra concept art was 100 times better then what we have now.

The problem with redesigning the shoes to look drastically different from their 'human' counterparts (just so it works for Viera) is that they might not match the rest of the clothing they were paired up with (especially when it comes to DRG and tank gear).

Another game I play has a race with a foot style very similar to how the Viera would be. They've managed to pull off the armor pretty well IMO. Of course this would take effort on SE's part to design the human template as well as one for the Viera, but it's totally possible. Some examples:

the problem isnt creating new armor for the feet but having to redesign all the current foot gear to fit the new feet. Could they do it? Of course. Will they? That's the question lol

SE already said this is not possible, because of some server blablabla issue. For them adding in a new race or hairstyle is alot easier, so I wont be suprised if they add a new race in 5.0.
