Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

As far as I remember, Viera is a female only race and the FFXIV staff don't want a mono-gender race.

It could have change since this declaration but I wont put a copper on the table for the viera to become playable not mentioning living outside of their forest is a big no for them at least in my lore memories from FFXII.

Viera are not female only. There are indeed male Viera just never seen because the male Viera live in their own tribes away from the females and are more reclusive. This is said in FFXII.

Also, there is nothing stopping the development team from just making Viera barefoot for a large majority of shoes. Re-model some of the more popular sets and make all the others like leveling gear just simple straps or such. This was used for TERA's Amani feet and is actually vastly preferred to their method they use now (of squishing their big feet into tiny high heels).

Though this is true back in the other games, there is already FFXIV development pics for male models (actually in the original post of this thread). Also, the Mithra used to be all female and are now part of canonical lore for the miqo'te as their ancestors in FFXIV and it can reasonably be assumed that the Galka were originally the Roegadyn's ancestors as well. It would be easy to do the same for Viera.

Edit: Looking up Tsumdere's claim about their being Viera males in the original games where they appeared confirmed it. Though only females -appeared- in the game, there have always been male Viera. The reason they never appeared in the games is due to the males being very aggressive towards females and extremely territorial.

What if they did give us viera and use ivalician moogles without the pom as males? As for the feet I think it would come down to either redesigning their feet or race locking gear for them...

Why it don't make sense to have Viera here in FFXIV.
This is against their law, referred to as the "Green Word," which forbids contact with the outside world. once a viera breaks this law, they are considered viera no more and are regarded as outcasts.

What's interesting about that, is how XIV treats Mi'qote, who also have a similar trait. They have a very insular tribal structure, as well. Not to the extremes Viera do, but enough that our "adventurer Mi'qote" are pretty much outcasts from their tribes, too. Wouldn't be much of a stretch to apply that to Viera, since, even the Au Ra get to deal with the "outsider" mentality for our Au Ra WoL.

Also, there is A LOT of evidence that they are working on them and even more teasers. With the bunny outfits being figured for men, the new Raid being a Moon Bun, the greaves I linked, and now Viera being added as canon in the FFXIV lore, I would honestly be surprised if they weren't added at this point.

Lupin was the other planned playable race when Au'ra was developed. To answer your (stretched) points: bunny outfits for men have been requested for years and has nothing to do with Viera, the primal is NOT a moon bunny, and even if she was that is a huge leap to make, and the greaves are player designed as part of a gear design contest, the outfit was not designed by the developers. As for Viera being added to the lore, I think that if they left them out when seeq, bangaa and all the other ivalice races were mentioned, people would still be like OMG THEY MUST BE SAVING THEM TO BE A RACE NEXT EXPANSION, as it stands they are just another Ivalice race in a long line of non playable races (until such a time that there is any proof otherwise, and I mean actual proof, not the list you provided).

Some of you people gainst Viera are crazy, not in the sense of "I'm a Viera supporter, you're opinion is invalid" more like in the sense of "Why are you so mad bro? Did you read your own comment before posting it?" And "Wow, momma didn't raise a smart lad"
