Housing Demolition Email

Okay, so I sent this in as a bug report originally, but that might have been the wrong thing to do. Basically, myself and my husband have an FC and a small FC house in the Goblet. We've both been unsubscribed for a little while, so it triggered my husband getting the Housing Demolition email.

I resubscribed on Monday the 7th (this week) and logged into the house immediately - we don't want to lose our little place, put a lot of effort into it etc. But then he received another demolition email yesterday. I logged in yesterday evening, played a little then logged back out inside our FC house - then the husband received another demolition email again, today!

The time remaining to demolition is getting short (2 days by now I think!), but the demolition isn't appearing on my timers at all. I'm not the leader of the FC and my husband bought the house, but the email says that any member of the FC can log in and visit the house and it will halt the demolition.

Getting quite worried now that our house will be going, even though I resubbed specifically to stop that from happening. Please can someone help here?

Husband's char is Credo Angelo, we're on Lich server, and our FC is Order of the Sword. Sorry if this is the wrong subforum for the thread - wasn't sure where else to put it.

Are you getting any of these emails?

Normally for a FC house, everyone gets an email and for personal houses, only the person who's name is on the house gets one.

Also, anyone in the FC has to go inside the house to stop the demolition.

It sounds to me like he has a personal house (and not an FC house) if the fact that you going in it does nothing.

If that's not the case, it could be a permissions thing. Have you tried logging in with his character?

Check on your timers tab, on the second page. It will show any house demolitions there (for both FC houses and personal houses including those you're a tenant on). It only shows up when a house gets to 30 days though.

But like the person above me said, it's probably not talking about the FC house, but instead the personal house which only the owner can reset the timer on.

Hmm, I don't think it's a permissions thing because I'm the one who does everything with the house! I do all the decorating and whatnot, and it's definitely not a personal house because we've had it for so long, before the house-sharing tenant thing even came around. He used to have a personal one and then sold it a long time ago too.

I did check my timers page and there was nothing on there, so it's just really strange! We haven't tried logging in with his character because he's not really into playing right now and we didn't want to waste a month of subscription just to check? But idk, if nothing comes of this might have to do that just in case.

When you went into the house earlier in the week, do you remember it saying anything about housing timer reset? (as in a pop message that fades away) Sorry I know that's a bit vague, I've only ever seen it once on mine, but I distrinctly remember it saying something when you walk into the house to let you know that it has reset the timer.

Edit: Sorry that's probably a rather stupid question, if you had seen it you probably wouldn't be here now! :S

No, it's ok! I didn't see anything like that when I logged in, and I've logged in another twice since then and nothing then either. :/ I was hoping someone would respond to my bug report, but then I noticed the disclaimer says no replies are sent for bug reports, so I just don't know now.

The lodestone suggests you're now the master of the FC (either because you were before or due to inactivity it switched to most active person ie you).

So him logging in shouldn't make any difference... Maybe worth checking you actually have a valid email address in your square enix account might be why no emails (or they're in junk folder?) but from what you've said sounds like demolishing should stop but I appreciate that's not very reassuring and you want to know for sure.

Walking into the house is all that anyone needs to do though

Thank you for the help! In the end, I ended up contacting SE's support for EU and I got a reply saying that the timers have reset, and to trust my in-game timers! They have raised it as an issue though and it's being investigated so YAY no house demolition!
