    Suggestion: Divine Veil bonus effect

    I was thinking , it would be nice if Divine Veil has some kind of effect before the shield is triggered that would help the paladin.

    Suggestion:
    After using Divine Veil, make Clemency insta-cast, so Divine Veil can have a use solo plus in an emergency, the paladin can actually quick trigger the shield effect themselves.
    Obviously, the paladin would have to have the MP to cast it. I was thinking about making it also cost 0 mp but i think that would be too much, maybe?

    Personally, because of the long cooldown of Divine Veil, I certainly don't see this as overpowering but i'd be curious on feedback!

    TBH if SE wants to focus PLD as the "defensive" tank, they have the easy option of overloading bigger numbers to PLD's kit. This still doesn't solve the fact that this game is so DPS oriented that even with all the benefits, PLD will still be suboptimal in the end when you have best gear and mostly due to DRK existing.

    Honestly I'd rather they just made it give the shield right away and give it to the PLD and the party, because I do dislike moves that could easily be made to have a solo use but don't cause reasons...

    I don't like your idea because I feel like if they want to give pld a move to swiftcast their clemency, they shouldn't tie it to an effect that someone else can remove.

    I'd rather the move just be simplified than convoluted further.

    It's a bit of a weird skill; it gives paladins nothing and being able to hit it yourself wouldn't do much to change that, even with instant clemency.

    Rather than changing the activation (which i think is nice, it's a party skill after all), I think it would be better to just have the effect hit the PLD as well. Would let the PLD run more Sword Oath, running their DPS a little higher. Especially since the normal activation is Divine Veil -> Succor for maximum party shield in preparation for big hits.
    It'd also be useful to mitigate tankbusters, effectively being an near-instant activation stoneskin, once again letting the PLD stay in Sword Oath more.
    Especially with switching oaths taking up a GCD, that'd help a bit with PLD DPS without making the skill more convoluted.

    If not no-trigger necessary; and if not barrier over PLD as well; I can also go with a one-hit Convalescence (HoT n/a).

    I'd even go with the barrier lasting 30minutes like Stoneskin opposed to 30seconds. There are a lot of wants for PLD.

    The problem with "party skills" is that 99% of the game doesn't work like that. You can pretty much do your job and never interact with your teammates and still win a fight, outside of co-ordinating mechanics. The only exceptions to this are divine veil and living dead.

    Divine veil to a lesser extent because the PLD can proc it themself, but since the only way to do so is clemency or cross class cure which are both a massive waste of resources and/or overkill for procing a shield, you tend to leave it to your healers.

    Now the problem is that because there are only 2 moves that work this way, healers who have never tanked don't know about them. Which hinders their usefulness since you can't rely on your teammate to know how it works. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thrown up divine veil just to have the healer suddenly stop healing. Then you say "cure me" they either ignore you or get confused and "???" By the time you're done filling them in on how it works the moment for it to be useful has passed.
