what you must remember is that in wow it worked
Why shouldnt we take the things that work in other games and add it to our own?

Why do people still asking for "easing things up"? The problem is, you dont easing the finances, you make some things just useless. Why should I put so much effort and time in crafting, when I can do millions of gil just by buying them?
Why not put any high end gear into mog station, because you dont like to raid, but you want the loot.
Why not put a fast leveling-services for all classes into mog station, because you hate leveling, but wants all your classes to 60.
Why not put any bird and pony to mog station, because you hate farming primals.
Yeah... lets ease some things... : (

Things that work don't always mean that they're good. Think about it. Take a look at DLC from games. We buy a game for 50 bucks, believing that we can play a finished product. But, wait! The company has a special offer you, in the form of a Season Pass. With it, you can get additional content for the game you've just bought, but we can't really tell you what it is just yet. You can buy it for only 25 bucks! Ok, that's 75 bucks for a game in order to get a finished product. But, is the DLC actually worth it? We don't know until we see or try it. Ow, hey! We got another offer for you, which is our collectors edition of the game, which will include a DLC story exclusive to the Collectors edition. We sell it for 120 bucks in our store!
Yes, DLC for games works, but with the above example you would "have to" pay 145 bucks, just to get the complete story they're making for the game. I'm sorry, but since when did that turn out to be ok? Yes, making games is expensive and they need to get their money somewhere, but come on...
No, we are not talking about bots, we are talking about RMT. Those are 2 completely different things. RMT may use bots in order to generate a certain amount of cashflow to sustain their RMT business, but it's still about the actual RMT. And be completely honest with yourself, neither bots nor RMT will go away. As long as there are people who buy from RMT businesses, RMT will exist. As long as there are people who want to cheat their way through the game, they will use bots.
And trust me, i know fully well that RMT will never go away. As long as there are people buying in-game currency with real money, there will always be RMT around the corner who will make full use of that opportunity. But, “legalizing” it is not the way to go.
RMT is a bannable offence and thus has to be punished. You buy gil? You suffer the consequence. Period.
The only wish i have is that SE hunts them down faster. Have a GM stand in each zone of the game and the second they see an RMT shout or receives one through tell, let the ban hammer fly. They can even suspend them until the internal investigation of their illicit activities/RMT Advertising has concluded.
RMT should not be tolerated and addressed with a firm hand. Not be “challenged” by introducing your own “Legal RMT”.

The point of this suggestion is not for benefit of players! Its to kill bots
Easing the finances of some is but a side effect. Not the main goal
The main goal would seem to be exploiting those with large in-game gil balances for personal enrichment of those purchasing the game time items. Sounds like RMT to me. That's against the Terms and conditions, and I'm pretty sure that this whole topic probably breaks similar rules on the forum. What is it people don't get about this being a suggestion to enable straight up RMT activity by players who want to enrich themselves?
How much on average would 30 days cost in WoW gold compared to gil? 5 mil? 10 mil? 30 mil?
One issue with this if they ever do have a token is that Legacy subs are far less then regular subs. With Legacy we can have the $7.99 a month with the 6 month plan.
