Is there a list somewhere, of Story NPC Titles?

Each story NPC that accompanies you into an instanced fight has some sort of "Of The" Title after their first name.

I always thought this was kind of interesting.

Is there a list of them all somewhere? If not, could we put one together? I only remember some of them from the class/job questlines that I have done.

Not all of them have those titles (See, the Scions and most Grand Company leaders) but there are a few I can think of

• Ser Ameryc the Blue
• Hauchefaunt of the Silver Fuller
• Illberd of the Dull Blade
• The Bull of Ala Mhigo (Raubahn Aldynn)
• Iceheart (Ysayle)
• Warrior of Darkness (Arbert) (Note that the Warriors of Darkness used aliases, their actual names are unknown)
• Devout of Darkness (Lamimi)
• Ranger of Darkness (J'rhoomale)
• Knight of Darkness (Blaenherz)
• Magus of Darkness (Nalilebert)

Some surnames might had also been titles that we mistook for surnames. (Mostly Highlander names, though I speculare Estinien's last name [Wyrmblood] is actually a title as well)

NPCs are categorized in two ways: [1] those that appear in cutscenes or stand around town (keyword: environmental), and [2] those that appear in instances and/or combat (keyword: battle). The latter category encompasses all instanced/combat entities; that is, every single one of the 5,500 unique battle entities (mob, allied NPC, enemy NPC, various types of fiend object) that exist thus far.

A complete list is therefore possible, but a pretty deep dig. Might be impossible to sort in any reasonable time.

Hokay, I'm back! I came up with some rules to sort / delete NPC entities to get close to what you're looking for. Because I didn't want to delete false negatives, you'll definitely have a few false positives with title-like names (such as Hellsguard names, goblins, ochus, morbols, things like Cloud of Darkness, beastmen, etc.).

Best of luck whittling the last 240 down to the list you want!
