Knifelocks and/or Gunblades in Stormblood

Using the logic that firearms obviously exist in Eorzea, and have for a long time, and that Machinistry/Skysteel tech itself is an adaptation of Ironworks tech (that already being an adaptation of Garlean tech), I've got high hopes for where MCHs go and what they do I the next expansion, especially when it comes to gear aesthetics.

That said, I would absolutely love to see more knifelock-style weapons in Stormblood. I know they're basically gunblades, and as much as I'm sure we all want an actual gunblade job, until we do, I certainly would love to have the weapon designs for MCH.

The Warwolf Knifelock is, and remains to be, my personal favorite weapon glamour of choice. (For any unaware, it's an old i70 PvP weapon, but there's a blue/silver variant that drops from Stone Vigil, "Blue Steel"). Using that design as a basis, I drew up a weapon idea I'd love to see made real in game. I unceremoniously called it the "Balanced Knifelock"


I'm aware of the complications or limitations to idea submissions, so if this is perhaps unallowed, I can simply hang onto it til perhaps another gear submission contest. But otherwise, I felt it well worth sharing
