    Curagaaaaaa

    Patch notes for spell reads:
Restores HP of all party members within range of target. Healing priority is given to those with lowest HP.
Does anyone know how this works in practice? Unlike Cure and Cura, when you cast Curaga at full health it heals for zero. My questions are:

    a. is there a static pool of healing points - let's say, 5000 HP - for each conjurer that is prioritized when cast?

    b. if not, are healing points calculated based on total HP lost in the party at the moment? Or determined per individual member?

    c. if per member, is there a cap for how much HP can be distributed?

    d. are there circumstances where Curaga would heal more than Sacred Prism + Cura if, hypothetically speaking, all party members had 100 HP?

    e. let's say a party member has 500 HP and is healed with Curaga but also suffers an attack for 1000 damage at the same time; would that member die, or does it counter the damage and ignore the fact that the member's HP touched zero at one point?

    Your thoughts?

I can tell you for a fact that after a big hit like Hellfire or Memento, Curaga only ends up healing the two lowest members for like 1300ish each (so it's like two Curas for the appropriate mana cost, but casts faster than 2 Curas in a row). This makes me think there's a capped pool of around 2600ish (depending on your Mind and Healing Magic) that the spell distributes accordingly, and probably spills over to more members if it is able to top off the first two targets.

Personally, I wish I still had the old Curaga that hit everyone for 600ish, as I like to save Sacred Prism for Stoneskin. The only difference is now you have to choose between total AoE cure vs. SS, depending on the situation.

I actually never realized it worked this way as I've only really been using Curaga to counteract Sear/Blood for Blood damage.

My guess is we're supposed to be using Curaga more liberally in situations where the entire group is taking steady damage, especially now that casting Curaga doesn't seem to equal instant CNJ tank. I'm guessing WHM's benediction-type move is what will be intended to counteract super-move stuff or we are meant to choose between constant aoe stoneskin or having Sacred Prism free to help the whole party recover.

Either way the spell is more time efficient if more than 1 person needs healing, since like Rice Pudding said, it costs as much as 2 Curas and apparently heals at least 2 people for that much.

It is more or less Cura + Cure. Caps at around 900-1k a person then moves to next target, ~1500-1800 total?. I find it ok for simultaneously healing myself and tank. It's ok for an area cure that limits enmity gain, but if you want an "oh shit" cure then you want to save Sacred Prism for Cura.
