How are those statements not factual about light shot and close shot?

That is simply not true. You are wrong again. All of mage's spells have a range of at least 12 paces. And many of their spells have a range of 15 paces.

Maximum range for a close shot is 10 paces. And the best range for a close shot (you did want to do damage with it, did you not?) is 3 paces.

Shouldn't you stop spouting nonsense about archer already?
