How do newer players build their skills if any content before hw is considered Old

I just got to the beginning of all the hard mode content , Id say the dungeons aren't to hard really. I still need to work on some boss mechanics for healing in some but Ill get the hang of it. My thing is this I feel like aurum vale is the only pre 50 dungeon that really compares. While I've found the dungeons to be able to learn stepping into this new content for me as a new player. The problem came in on the extreme primals , I only cleared garuda properly, I honestly suck at titan and ifirt and that's as a bard. My question is if everyone wants to unsyc this content are call it old or not relevant. I did ifrit and titan extreme and both times the party's abandoned with well over 30 mins left. So if new players like myself either have to unsyc to get vets to do it with them and cant learn or go into duty finder and everyone bells how does this prepare us for later content like Alexander and whatever else hard mood or extreme mood is in heavensword.

I understand you are late to the scene with past content but new content literally has the same difficulty as past content when they are new. And when they were new players tackle them the same way as the new content now. So dont ever feel like your behind.

It's not because it's old (or not just because it's old, anyway). There have always been players like that. They'll queue for stuff, but won't want to run it unless they just breeze through. (Even when a brand new patch releases a new dungeon, there will be players that very first day who only want to play it with an experienced team. Of course, nobody is experienced yet at that point, but it doesn't stop them from demanding it.)

It's kind of lame to say this but the 50 content stuff will not "prepare" you for 60 endgame. The 5 skills you get from 52-60 change your rotation that the 50 rotation is veiled behind incorporating the new skills.

So if you are looking for "skill preparation" for 60 content it would be better to get all your skills and practice from there.

If you are looking for more "immersion" than Utilizing the party finder will get you better results.

I have ran this with my fc members but most people wana do it unsyc, thus curving the challenge sense they are level 60, and I main a whm so it doesn't change to much and with potd you can use your skills. So for bard while it changes alot with wanders minuet you still have pretty much the say core abilities with a cast time. I just would like to be just as good at the level 50 stuff as the level 60 content doing a search today its more dungeons from 50 quest line than in hw. Also doing every job you will do these dungeons over and over and the trials. I just dont get the whole content is old thing its still in the game and if your either gona be running the same dungeons at level 60 over and over again or at level 50 over and over again its still all relevant content.

Just because it's old content doesn't mean that people won't help you clear it like normal. Remember that the Duty Finder matches you with randoms. Some people you match up with really just want the clear and don't care about helping. Some don't mind helping. The best thing you can do is use Party Finder and get friends and your Free Company to come help you clear. With Party Finder you can clearly state your goals so people who join know exactly what they are joining for.

The current tiers of content:

Alexander (The Creator) normal is more than enough to cut your teeth on and learn the bare basics of your class and how the skills work. Even if you're totally lost the content isn't hard enough the group will fail if you're fumbling around and getting your bearings.

From there you can step up to Sophia (Extreme) which is a relatively forgiving fight, which will get you past the basics on movement, reading boss tells, and coordinating with other players.

From the first parts of Alexander(The Creator) savage pick up about where Sophia leaves off.

Honestly the current crop of content has a very good learning curve for a freshly-60 player.

If anything the older 50 content isn't going to be great for learning basically it'll be either sync'd and locking you into a pared-down move set that isn't super relevant anymore or it'll be sync'd and be so easy that the mechanics aren't particularly meaningful. This is already true of fights like Ravana Extreme even at 60, damage is so high he just dies before he does any of his interesting mechanics.

With PoTD, SE has given a resource where players with a deep understanding of MMO tab target games work and allows them to test out 60 skills. Some would disagree with me with good reason...cause unlike myself or in this case, because of your reply, your own understanding of how these games work, simply reading the tool tip is enough for a full grasp of the skill, all we need there after is rotation practice which normally will only take a few top level runs.

Relevance is a touchy word, for me, I really only have one day to enjoy sub-60 content cause of raid schedule and real life stuff. I mean once my group clears a12s it's potentially bringing raid days from 3-5 days to 1-2 days. Squad goals but that's my "relevance" ATM. Wondrous tails just takes me back to those sub-60 areas.

Though realistically, sub-60 is other people's relevance and they love that playground, thiugh it's not everyone's cup of tea.
