I suppose it would also depend on how long bard's buffs last, if they're like they were in XI, then I don't see them having any opportunity to even fire a standard attack. If they're like Corsair's Phantom roll however...

I agree, I think part of the problem with buffs is the dev team is justifying shorter buffs with shorter fights.
The problem with that logic is shorter fights actually need longer lasting buffs because thet party is more
mobile. Unlike XI where you simply found a good camp and sat your butt down for 2-6 hours, and buffs could
be done between pulls.
