Nah, most of them ran screaming and crying over to Lancer.3. then you have the jump off's that come post on the forums cause they leveled archer because they were op at one point and they liked being op but then when they got nerfed QQ about it cause their to lazy to level another class or to lazy to put the time and dedication into that job to make it relevant
Can't say I blame them, especially after hearing about bard? I think it's safe to say people leveled ARC for ranged DPS not magic related. Now they'll be singing songs and telling tall tales in the midst of battle!
No, I was refering to the ridiculously large crowd that moves from update to update to whatever class is the most OP. You got to admit, ARC was pretty OP damage wise compared to all classes before there nerf, at that point LNC beccame the OP damage.
well yea if they want to role play i guess you could be mad but for the rest of us who enjoy the FF franchise for what it is not what we think it should be from playing W.O.W, Rift, etc. don't care its still a ranged dd. put the name bard and people go crazy.
also for everyone else remember archer is a class they may one day come out with a main DD job for archer but for now i rather have this. plus you can stay archer all you want to just dont be mad when they take a bard over you cause you want to pew pew faceroll your keyboard top dps (like on w.o.w) then someone who can do damage and provide buffs to make the fight go smoother for everyone. this game is going to make you either QQ rage quit throw your keyboard or teach you how to play your character in a community and i emphasize character cause even though you can choose to be a archer, pugilist, lancer at the beginning.... this game is based on developing your character passed what you prefer to play to what is needed to get the job done
lol y so srs knite! simmer down!
If you have any reading comprehension you just maybe could have sensed sarcasm and my comment made in jocular fashion!
Edit: Look it up or read more books!

?..... <<<< not serious....but from this comment you most of thought the second statement was regarding your post it wasn't lol yes and some of us should read more books lmao ^

I like the idea of BRD, but I (like some others) did pick ARC because I liked the idea of being ranged DPS.
Classes being OP'd occur in every game, and in true FF style, SE will routinely "nerf" such classes to try and balance things (and likely end up OP'ing another class instead). Yes, there are players who keep jumping ship in order to feel they are "teh awesome" by seeing large dmg numbers on screen with every hit. However, I am still happy to play ARC even now (in fact, I like the change of skills seen so far and my LS regularly takes ARC into Ifrit and wins).
This being the case, BRD really makes a significant shift away from the idea of ranged DPS towards being more support/magic without picking up a wand (as has already been said). I really think BRD could (and should) have been made a separate class.
Of course, only time will tell how it feels to play ARC with these changes. I can only hope I will still enjoy playing it, because I am not sure if I want to play any other class (they don't particularly grab me - and I'm not one of those drooling at the mouth at the idea of being OP'd).

Well guys its time to eat crow and I have no problem taking a piece.
Bard isn't to bad at all, songs last just long enough for you to do some good DPS and we got rain of death.
You did good Yoshi P
Bon appétit! You'll never be invited to a party as BRD "to do some good DPS". You will be invited to serve as the MP bitch.
Yoshi did good on ruining the only non-magical ranged DD class in the game.
