    Actually these sort of spells didn't really ever make sense to me belonging to the Conjurer line. Thaumaturgy always dealt with life and death, nothing regarding the elementals that I could recall. Granted I haven't done the third and final THM quest yet so I could be wrong there.

    Conjury deals with nature and harmony of the elements, nature is life.
    Thaumaturgy deals more with death and inner strength than "life".

    I think it goes pretty well with the lore.
