They've been saying that all those spells were going to be redistributed.

They haven't said anything of the sort until now.

Also its been known since the Live Letter II that CNJ > WHM and THM > BLM (if you've played any FF game prior to you should have known that spell changing was in the air)

CON>WHM is not CON=WHM. I have also played enough FFs to know that FF does not strictly stick to class rules. I expected the same here, as per Yoshi's statement that nothing fundamental would change.

Also it was wide spread rumor that the above class to job would happen when CNJ received those new healing spells and THM received a buff to its nuking prowess.

And a rumor matters because....why?
