I count 15 class skills each class

I count 15 class skills each class
I will agree to disagree on how that statement is translated. Lets talk about traits at least. Maybe traits will change how spells work in general. Traits would still allow a plethora of customization without increasing the number of skills each job has.
My 1st post on Loadstone!!! YAY!!! XP
Just had to say wow to the changes ^^ can't wait to see the traits. I've been playing since launch & this is by far the most interesting patch I've read next to Materia Crafting. I'm definitely on board to start paying @1.20 because I can see I'm gona have a great time relearning or adjusting to the classes for awhile. That & SE already has my money for 3 months worth of crysta lmao.
A few things I don't know how to feel about just yet are
1. Lancer/Dragoon receiving an obvious Dark Knight key ability, but whos to say it wont be used by a future Dark Knight job on top of an even better one. (Dark Knight was my main DD in 11 for awhile, so I gots a little soft spot for it)
2. Barcher lmao I <3 the idea, concept & design, but from all the ARC I've seen in this new generation of mmo players most could barely handle the DD aspect of the class. Adding the support role on top of it just seems to be a bad joke in my opinion. Got a feeling this class/job will be heavily mocked & scrutinized from a vast majority of players who will hardly ever see a good Barcher being played outside of top teir linkshells down the road.
3. ; ; what did you do with my enfeebles lol you knew they where awful when everyone used items > spells to inflict effects on the monsters, so I hope they didnt go the route of "ohwell people didn't use them anyways, so it's ok to scrap it entirely". With the lack of water aswell it just makes me lean towards Arcanist - Red Mage getting the above :P along with Muskateer - Ranger, so the game can get back a 100% focused ranged DD. Guns/Bullets > Bows/Arrows anyways lol how do you pew pew without the bang?
Yoshi P has already proven to me that when he closes one door he opens a better one with the whole "I'm scrapping parts & most of the crafting system" lol soooo many people blew up & I almost did aswell being an ALC main & a large portion of my play ha been dedicated to crafting, but sure enough the door to materia crating opened up soon after everyone understood & was happy ^^ lol for the most part anyways.
Keep up the great work Yoshi ^^

cnj to white mage? why do they have all black mage spells then????????? fire wind blizzard, i'm confused, anyway like everything about these new jobs except that one part

They've been saying that all those spells were going to be redistributed. Also its been known since the Live Letter II that CNJ > WHM and THM > BLM (if you've played any FF game prior to you should have known that spell changing was in the air) Also it was wide spread rumor that the above class to job would happen when CNJ received those new healing spells and THM received a buff to its nuking prowess.

They haven't said anything of the sort until now.
CON>WHM is not CON=WHM. I have also played enough FFs to know that FF does not strictly stick to class rules. I expected the same here, as per Yoshi's statement that nothing fundamental would change. Also its been known since the Live Letter II that CNJ > WHM and THM > BLM (if you've played any FF game prior to you should have known that spell changing was in the air)
And a rumor matters because....why?Also it was wide spread rumor that the above class to job would happen when CNJ received those new healing spells and THM received a buff to its nuking prowess.

You are wrong about that everything since 1.18 has pointed cnj = whmThey haven't said anything of the sort until now.

Edit: i would like to know what has changed about cnj they can still nuke, cure, and enhance.
Yes this correct FF 11 changed what spells blm learned,10, 11 was the 2 games that changed what spells blm learnedActually Aero and Earth Spells, traditionally belong to WHM, not BLM.
Water is a BLU spell in most FF.
BLM always had Fire, Thunder and Blizzard as Elemental Magic Spells.
FFXI was the exception to this.

You are missing the point. Conjurer and White mage are not supposed to be the same. No class was supposed to be the same as the job it's linked to. That is what Yoshi-P said the classes and jobs would be. Linked but separate.
If there is any role conjurer currently resembles, it's red mage. That doesn't "point" to anything. Not that it matters. The only thing that matters is the official posts from square, not the rumors people fuss over.
Note: It's morning and I haven't had my coffee yet.

For example, you'll notice that all job weaponskills combo off the related class's weaponskills. It would appear that when you switch to your job, you have all the skills of your class, but you can do extra things above and beyond what your class is capable of (in exchange for forgoing cross-class abilities, so there's still value in using your class instead of your job as well).
It actually makes a lot of sense this way. While soloing or in low-man groups, flexibility is an asset. Being able to perform multiple functions works better than specialization in those situations. If all you could do was cure, but not damage, you wouldn't get anywhere.
But in light parties and full parties (as the nomenclature goes), specialists work better. You don't want someone good at healing, you want the best healer possible. Same goes for tanking. And damage dealing. That's where jobs come in, removing the flexibility, but accentuating the specialty.
