    Question about playing on both PC and PS4 with expansions.

    I am looking into also having the game on my PC and know to do so you have to purchase the game again for it. What I want to know is will I also have to re-purchase any expansions for the PC, or is my account linked to them and will they automatically be added once I purchase the base game? I already have HW and plan to get the new one when it comes out.

    You'll have to rebuy all the game content for other platforms, nothing cross' over with your account but your in-game stuff. so buy the HW+Base game for PC or PS4. Shame it works this way but Sony needs its share too I guess.

    all platforms can share a single service account/monthly fees, but like others have said, you need to buy the game/expansions for each platform.

    Luckily, FFXIV goes on sale often! check with your standard online and local stores before buying and you can usually find 2.0 for $10-$20. The same with Heavensward. Unless you like paying full-rpice for stuff, then I guess the official SE store is the way to go.

    If you wait til stormblood comes out there will probably be an ARR+Heavensward bundle that gets released that will probably cost the same as buying only one of them right now.
