This game has some of the worst character customization in the industry. It's pretty sad. I always thought Aion's character creation was some of the best around. Would love to see something like that.

I like Aion's character creator up until I'm trying to make someone not Caucasian or Korean.

They tore apart the engine and have since better designed it for an MMO, and I imagine still in the process of improving it over time as they increase their team and funding.

Not sure if sliders will require a deeper overhaul in the engine that may be possible. Old models may yet return in time, but only if they can actually get it to happen on this engine.

This current team has been using scraps for the most part. XIV was project with bold aspirations to look gorgeous as an MMO, but they screwed that up. This team now is doing what it can with what it has. SE was not going to give the funding for a second chance at creating from scratch. Yes, XIV will never look as good as some of these incredibly shiny new MMOs, and that's the situation they know they are in. They are steadily improving, and refining the tech and skills, but it's going to be a while.

The sight of fully clothed people offend me as a Christian. We should be content as God made us: naked. Hiding behind man's invented and made-up garments is being shameful of God's will.

So SE should remove all clothes from the game. But in act of understanding, I will tolerate bikinis as a compromise!

Anyways, Bring on the customization! Seriously this game has alot less than it should. Glamour is great but that's like 50% of the customization and other would be our characters which is barely doing a full half. Its like a broken 35% of our customization. Give us more to work with please.

Ah yes, the "bulk" of the consumer base for this game. JRPGs, a long standing staple and moral bastion of people who'd likely support minimizing any and all sexualization.

Games tend to try and be middle of the road, as that increases marketability and sales. To suggest that a Japanese made game would be LESS sexual, is just impossible to do with a straight face if you know anything about Japan.
