Proportionate Bodies

The girls butts are way, way too little and the poor men don't even have any equipment at all.
So to me, everyone looks like horizontal poles. They just don't seem to be what they could if the proportions were right.

As a person with a petite body, I appreciate that there is a videogame that actually represents my body type. But, I think the petite bodies should be reserved to certain races. For example, in FFXI, mithra (miqo'te equivalent) were very petite with extremely athletic bodies. They didn't really have a big behind or chest, but other races did. So it would be nice if they did something like that.

But while we're on the topic of proportions... I'm a cosplayer and I enjoy making these costumes. The women have really long legs in this game, yet no one complains about that. Every costume I make, I have to make adjustments for my short legs. But, I'm pretty sure even people with average-sized legs would run into this problem. So why no complaints about the long legs? Because they are 'appealing'?

It's not about wanting proportionate bodies. You just want bodies that fit your ideal. And, that's fine. But let's please call it what it is.

Remember that bra sizes are different in different regions. Depending on where you're posting from you could all be correct! (Oh, I typed this too slowly.)

I'm fine with the current body shapes (if asked whether I wanted more content or a butt slider, well, I'd pick the content, and I'm happy with the way my package looks in the right gear) but if, say, they were adding a new race and could easily adjust the outfit models to accommodate curvier girls and guys, why not? Completely agree. Nobody is advertised as being 'human' so the issue of real world human proportions (for whichever genetic grab-bag of traits you personally consider normal) aren't really relevant. Variety is always nice if it can be accommodated.

I don't like the implication that what other people wear can ruin the game for people, or that men/women with thicker bottoms should be made invisible. I doubt the swimsuit-clad tanks feel their day is ruined when someone shows up smartly dressed in full plate; it's only fair to extend that open-mindedness back the other way. If people want to dress up as giant moogles, pigs, clowns and dancers then they should go for it. Nobody bats an eyelid when the NPCs do it.

Me just luv how 90% of the Miqo's in the room suddenly took my 'more natural female form' comment personal and immediately went on the defensive. Thats......informative. So lets try a better phrase: "Additional natural female forms." There.

You know whats soooo damn awesome about the female body (and by extension, the male)? Its that it allows SOOOOO much room for variety. Tall, short, thick, skinny, petite, voluptuous, athletic, plump, lanky, buff, etc. God, mother nature, w/e you choose to subscribe to...saw fit to throw the '1-size-fits-all' rule out the window and let the gates of possibility wide open.

THATS what the issue is about. By not allowing more sliders (not just butt, breast, or package sliders..im talking arms, waist, tummy, hips, thighs, calves, etc as well) Yoshi and devs tried to make a grand generalization (regardless of the race/species really...except lalas) Namely..Petite. Judging by the overwhelming number of Miqos and Auras running around, many accepted this. But not ALL. Why should I have to settle for staring at a petite, flatchested chick (excuse me...girl or woman) when the tech for something more to my liking is possible?

All we're asking for is the ability to better customize our characters according to our personal liking. The slim/ zero-hip/waist type we now have access to, however 'natural' it may be....is not the 'only' type that exists, and we're just asking for this to be reflected. Who wants to go out for chinese, and rice is the only thing on the menu, mexican..and only taco shells. Variety is what makes it enjoyable, not just 1 size fits all.

What really cracks me up though is that 'oversexualized' term being tossed around. If its a straight flat line...its ok. If said flatline should swell...zomg..itz SEX! ...Please. The way things are currently, FF14 couldnt be oversexualized if everyone got a succabus costume in the mog mailbox. 'Jiggle mechanics are just obscene.' Riiight, because in reality and the real world, gravity is an absolute respectable gentlemen to any pleasantly-blessed woman who decides to skip wearing a bra on a reasonably hot day while hurrying along to her destination. I guess next you'll argue the 'rain/water getting clothes wet and reflecting light' mechanic is too erotic. And righteous sweet damnation on any lala female with dreams of oneday being allowed by the devs to fill out the upper portion of her cute maid outfit or Hyur who humbly requests just 2 more tactically located pixels on her red swim top. We'll have reached outright blasphemy by that point, no?

Y'know I was playing last night and I noticed that alot of the female primals have bigger butts and breasts. The succubi even have these better bodies. So I know that they have no problems making these. So why not the characters we play.
