You're ignorant. I already stated that their work is complex enough, why make everything more difficult?
What? They're making things simpler to make things less difficult for them.
You're the ignorant one here since I don't see where you got that "why make everything more difficult?" part from me.
If you meant my opinions on the body models then they were merely opinions, not requests for the devs to retouch them.

Guess I'll just go ahead and be the #2 pervert in the post *shrug*
..I like curvy women. No..no that'd be lying. I L U V curvy women. 1st time on the character creation screen, I took 1 look at lala's and miqo's and loled my arse off (ya..inc flames)..moved onto Hyurs and Elezeen and "Eeh...wellll.." and finally stopped at Roe, whose boobie sliders finally made me smile. Then it struck me, for every race...0 hips..0 thighs..0 tummy. Every last one (except lalas) is molded into a 'play-it-safe'/ one size fits all cast.
Boring.
If I'm gonna play a game 10+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week and stare at the same character each time, lets be honest, I want something visually pleasing to me. If the typical 'FF'er is okay with the athletic, slim, petite form, good for you. Me? At least give me the OPTION..to have curves that could accidently bump someone off the side of a cliff and not even know it. SOMETHING. And no, the "Its for the armor' arguement is lolable. Go watch a Soul Calibur 5 creation tutorial and just make a poor man's version.
Someone here already touched on it, but perhaps it all has to do with the reactions of the innitial crowd, which, ya, happens to be Japanese (Come on..do you really think its a coincidence we've got 2-3 races already which fit the adolescent schoolgirl theme?) Once again...not knocking it if thats your thing, but for those of us who'd love a little more cushion-for-the-pu-..uh..adventuring, at least give the option. Considering the level of realism theyve put into so many other aspects in the game, is this that hard? I mean, hell...step outside Ul'dah and just take a look at some of the wildlife and see how detailed it is. Really examine a beast close up and be amazed at its modeling.
....and ya, just to be fair, give the males a few more slider options too.

A calamity of massive proportions!
There's a joke to be made here about the sliders working properly, but you need to actually be a lala to notice... :3
I thought it was the opposite...
Japan being more comfortable with sensuality compared to the west...

Yeah. He kind of has a point guys lol . kind of lame when everyone looks like they haven't hit puberty yet
Well... console limitations will no longer be a "reason" once 4.0 starts, given that PS3 will be counted out...
But how big of a resource eater would be to rework ALL existing gear in game to match the proportions?
(I would still like the butt slider tho)
SE! PLEASE MAKE A BUTT DEV TEAM!!
I'm kind of hoping they decide to go ahead and give us multiple dye spots on armor...Well... console limitations will no longer be a "reason" once 4.0 starts, given that PS3 will be counted out...

Two or three would be awesome, and would also require redoing all the armors....
Perhaps it could be done in tandem, just do all the work on the pieces at the same time.

I suspect there's no real danger of the dev team doing an about-face on this one, but just the same I'd like to say that I support the current system of realistic (for real life, not video games) proportions and non-sexualized combat gear. It's one of my favorite things about the aesthetics of this game.
