If they got rid of re-attuning every time, you could do some gathering solo. Some. Fishing tends to be safe. Botany has a bunch of solo accessible nodes. Some mining can be done, but gets really sketchy.
 
			
			
				Ok, but what about farming mobs? Can't solo that unless they watered them down...which would basically be no different to the open world mobs we got now.
Difficulty scaling could work, the more the players the higher the difficulty the mobs are. The mobs really aren't all that hard in diadem really, it's usually just the fact people spawn them over and over. Diadem is a mix between Monster Hunter and Diablo style game design and both of those games in some capacity allow for enemy curving and at times still command a high level challenge for solo players.
 
			
			
				It takes a bit, but WAR can solo them just fine without external heals. So long as you pick mobs that love to spam conal AoEs, you're barely getting hit.
