Glamour Gear Request Megathread

It still doesn't make any sense for Yoshi-P to keep clinging to his limited view of what "visual identity" even means. Even if you set aside all the tanks in swimsuits and mascot costumes, look at all the "tank sets" in the game that aren't armored at all.

I'm serious. Go check out the Eorzea Collection website and click on Gearsets, then the Tanks category.

YoRHa Type-51? Warg? Nabaath? Royal Volunteer's? Shisui?!

Please explain to me why these sets are Fending sets when their "visual identity" does not even begin to suggest tank gear.

If it's so important that players should be forced to conform to a very limited set of aesthetics based on role, why is it perfectly okay for a MNK, SAM, NIN, MCH, DNC or BRD to wear the Ward Knight armor from the Mog Station, but not the Ishgardian Banneret's Maiming set (or the Ishgardian Knight's Fending set) from Dusk Vigil? They're identical except for their color schemes. Either this stuff is vitally important, or it means nothing. Yoshi-P cannot keep having it both ways. I'm willing to concede leaving artifact armor locked, but otherwise we should be free to dress our characters how we like.

Yeah, more freedom with regards to Glamour is probably my #1 wish right now, it would be really nice! And, again, there's ways to do it that would involve effort on the players' part, if everyone being able to wear everything all at once feels too sudden (albeit welcome...) of a change in the devs' opinion

I am leveling my WAR too since the Job trailer got me hyped and it's the only Tank I haven't leveled.
I am having a lot of fun and it made me realize there's not much '' Barbarian '' gear in the game.

These are some examples I am thinking of, I think that the Endwalker Artifact gear looks a bit in this direction but I'd still like to see more.
Warrior kinda is a bit in the Barbarian direction too to begin with.

I would kill to have a version of these outfits in the game. Maybe even have a version for all the special mandragora types (king, queen, eggplant etc.) Please make it happen as new GS rewards or seasonal event or something in Endwalker! I just need these outfits in my life!

Well, considering FFXI has been introducing a lot of such costumes into the game lately (mostly rewards during the 'Repeat Login' events run every month), and how we have chocobo, moogle and frog costumes here in FFXIV, a mandragora costume is a natural progression.

I think they should remove level and class restriction from all* the Wolf Mark gear altogether, I think that would provide incentive for people to queue up at least for Frontlines more? And really it would be just nice to have more All Classes options.

*except for, y'know, the weapons. Can't exactly remove class restrictions on those

I don't think there's anyone actually using them for their stats (and the devs themselves started making them level 1 after a certain point) and, before anyone brings up "Class Identity" (which is frankly a laughable argument at this point), the Feast sets have been All Classes, despite being quite heavily armoured more often than not!
