Glamour Gear Request Megathread

I am in the camp of letting us glamour outside our class because if a tank can glam themselves nude, I'm pretty sure "class logic" went out the window ages ago. Mostly I'm cranky that an upcoming physical ranged gearset has a gakuran style hat and I want it no matter what class I play, but there are also a lot of gorgeous pieces for classes I don't play. If the gear is an illusion, why should it matter? Weapons I can agree should stay in class but clothes make no sense.

Speaking of hats, I would kill for more caps similar to schoolboy hat to finish up my Jotaro look, or at least make Postmoogle Cap dyeable.

I'd love for us to have gigantic scythes tbh! Kinda like what TERA has for some of their Berzerker's weapon skins? (my favorite is the Gigantalon skin).

SE could design theirs to resemble some of the bosses, ya know, the demonic looking bosses or the ones that reek of death and destruction >:3c

Dye-able Wild Rose Set

I've been doing Ridorana for 28 runs since Thursday and Vaan's outfit has dropped once. I'd really like to see more symmetrical, Ottoman/Middle-Eastern style garments which are not half naked (Thavnairian Bolero) with the same vest + sash + tunic setup. Not something with overdesign/overdecoration, or asymmetry or random spots like the shoulder or midriff being naked.

Honestly just Vaan's outfit recolored for SAM/Monk from another item set.

I for one would kill for a glam version of the new steampunk caps because it's exactly the piece I was looking for to complete my look and of course the set for my main has the top hat instead. ><;

It's a wasted opportunity to not give MNKs a cap anyway because we're literally the JoJos of this game.

With so many of us stuck at home, I thought it would be fun to bump this thread. I'll repost some of what I asked for a few years ago and some new things:

I would love to see the following FFXI sets in the game. Preferably most of them as glamour gear that all jobs could wear. Mage jobs in particular need a higher variety of glamour gear.

Estoquer Set for Red Mages:


White Mage Cleric Set. The awesome hat and a Dalmatica-like body armour. NOT a long dress or robe!


White Mage Orison Set. Especially the awesome hat. Please note, the hat does not cover all our hair like the FFXIV hat that makes all white mages look like nuns. Please, let us see our part of our hair!


Oracle Robe Set:

Paluwahn Set:



Most of these are the Aht Urhgan sets which I love.

The first would be more dyable metallic gear for casters/healers. Gauntlets, Greaves, paudrons. Mix in a few battlemage outfits instead of the same ol robes every now and then.

The second is for Blue Mage specifically, I get that it's a limited job, but what I don't get is why the weapon glamor options are so limited. A job at the equivalent level (60) has dozens of options, yet BLU gets only 4.

The Qitari outfits look amazing and having their little cowls/hats as a glamour item would be amazing.





The Landking set is one of the sets I would like to see the most as a dyable glamour set that all jobs can use.
