so far i see players on top 100 has +200 + 300 +400 on daily basis since first day of season 3. only 1 or 2 players get - points. Rating is so forgiving this season which give chance to people who play more matches climb faster regardless of losing matches in the process.. there is not as much risk as season 1 and season 2 from bronze to gold. Almost no one can reach diamond in the past seasons cuz most players afk at plat and gold and not willing to risk rating. i think that is the reason for SE nerfing rating lose for lost matches. I expect by the end of season 3, top 100 will look like this ( top 7 - 10 diamonds / 30 plats / rest is golds ).

At the end of the day, the guy standing next to ya in Ishgard aint gonna give a fart whether yer silver, platinum, or plad with neon stripes. SE found a way to encourage more ppl to play, even if a little longer w/o so much fear of horribly dropping in rank. All these complaints I hear about ranking no longer holding meaning til gold, etc are laughable, cuz with s1 and 2's matchings, it didnt even then when it was worse, just the luck of the draw.

Less stress + a free rare never to be seen again mount. "No! My struggle must mean something!" ...yeaaah.

I'm not really sure if I'm understanding the problem is here ...

Diamond was damn close to being a spotted unicorn in the last two seasons. Almost no one made it there, and people were complaining that it was a nearly un-achievable rank. So wouldn't reducing the point reduction for losses be a good thing? People also complained that being slotted into matches with new/unranked players was FAR too punishing, hence top-tier players would simply drop out of Feast as soon as they got high enough in rank. So ... again, wouldn't reducing the point reduction for losses be a good thing? It's also not as though the bottom level players will suddenly be threatening the top-ranked ones. The best of the best are still going to pull ahead of the pack. In fact, this new system would only seem to make that easier on them because they won't be punished nearly has hard for playing with new people. I mean, sure, the win rate for getting into silver/gold/platinum is lower ... but so what? The average win rate for the last two seasons of the top 100 scaled anywhere between 40-60% That's not exactly impressive to begin with, so I really don't see how this change really makes a difference. The top will still be the top, and the bottom will still be the bottom. Changing the point scaling might just make the difference between the two a little clearer.

Meh, just makes your actual rank, not tier matter that much more.
