Demolition This Week (?)

I've been watching some houses since 3.4 and they have still not been demolished. These owners have been inactive since April- June. What's up with that?

There's still quite a few that appear to have had no activity, but apparently have. I know one of my goblet gardening stops has 3 surrounding houses with nothing but an aetheryte crystal outside. Two are personally owned so they're not for airships and no gardens outside so apparently they're just holding on to them for the heck of it?

I know for a fact that one person in my server has gone inactive for more than two months yet their house is still there....

Do you know how this extension works? I hope never happens, but If I have to leave the game for a while is nice to have some sort of back up plan for my new-purchased house.

I'm not SE, but I seriously doubt there's any such thing (people would scream favouritism!) and first I've personally heard of it and I try and follow all things housing related. My guess is a misunderstanding of how the demolition timers work.

Either it's an FC house (in which case any member can reset the timer) or they have logged on if only just to walk inside the house/reset timer and log back out again. It's been 45 days since the timer was turned back on so if they have been gone 60+ days, it would have demolished if it wasn't reset.

Update! At 1pm ct houses have been demolished, a handful too. I got my house

Yup, a bunch went boom on Diabolos. One of my FC members that has been stalking the one between me and the FC mansion is at work and missed it. My heart sunk for him. FC leader bought it up though so at least it's in the family.

FYI if you leave yourself afk inside a house that's set for auto demolish the system DC's you and demolishes it anyway. We knew that house was going to go and thought that we could save it by putting his character in it and leaving it there. Seems SE thought that one out.

It seems Both Gilgamesh and Balmung houses were gone in 5 minutes, the Aether Datacenter seems to be all synq.
