Demolition This Week (?)

I have heard from some friends that demolition is supposed to happen on the 4th, 5th or 6th but I can't find any information about this at all.

Does anyone know when it's actually happening? I don't fancy having to camp the aetheryte for three days straight.

How do I even know demolition is actually going to happen? Do SE announce it somewhere and I'm just too dim to find it, or is it just speculation?

Demolitions have been happening already. The clock just started again at 3.4 so any house that accumulated time before it was stopped still had that.

Demolitions are not announced anywhere, the houses just get destroyed and you have to be lucky enough to get there first. Your best chance is to check the wards regularly.

So demolition is an on-going thing? I was under the impression that the 45 day countdown only happened after certain days, such as major patch days for example. I have a friend who hasn't logged into his house in well over 45 days and it hasn't been demolished.

Its always ment to be active however it was suspended because of an earthquake.

Think of it as an idle timer that starts from when the house was last accessed by the owner / fc members for an fc house.

It's a day or so around the 10th as it's offset by maintenance as well. No one but Square knows the exact time for the release of the inactive plots. Since the timer was just suspended and not reset however, there are some plots that are getting demolished before the ones from the last land rush. I'd be a bit more vigilant about looking for a plot around the 10th-12th if you haven't found something before then, but just keep checking everytime you teleport into one of the major cities and hopefully you catch one listed (it'll show up as a white price tag instead of a red or blue name next to the plot number).

See above... If you are specifically hoping to find plots that are opening up from people that bought during the release of 3.4 and then didn't ever use them, they should start being relinquished around the 11th.

Houses have already been turning over at a pretty steady clip, on Exodus. You just have to go check the aetherites every so often, and you may be surprised what turns up. JUST casually checking over the course of a week, Ives een five open, in all sizes.
