Sounds like one of those cases of the owners darting in to save their home ownership while not actually playing. I'm hoping the new wards they're making have a much higher number of large plots if they aren't completely instanced (outside & inside single house). The competition for mansions is getting rather intense (although on most servers just getting any house can be a problem).
