Top 5 things that got you hooked..

1. It's FINAL FANTASY - specifically a FF game where I can create my own FF character and play through a FF game as that character.
2. Story - I love the story despite some slight early filler and plotholes. And the many twists and turns are keeping me guessing and theorizing.
3. It fixed everything that was wrong with FFXIV 1.0, and actually improves considerably on both 1.0 and FFXI - in particular most of the game is soloable, especially levelling.
4. My friends and family joining me - it really is better to play with loved ones.
5. Pretty dresses! It's true - glamour is the true endgame!

1. Raiding, seriously without the raids to look forward to I'd probably have quit long ago
2. Fc, static and friends I made in the game, despite what people say the community is great
3. Story, just love it
4. All jobs on one character
5. Replayability of old content ( even though SE keeping to force us into it is starting to get annoying)

4. Being able to be a self-sufficient crafter without alts - no longer the case with specialists
5. Interesting gameplay mechanics - until recently where it's become DPS as quick as possible and dodge a million orange circles

1) Animations 5/5. It's something that GW2 drew me in because of how the characters moved. FFXIV is probably the best on that regard.

2) Glamour 4/5. This didn't came until 2.1 but it's probably one of the best (and ironically also one of the worst) customization system I've seen in a while. With some tuning it could beat every other game.

3) Cross-class system 1/5. It's pretty much NOT what I was hoping for but I'll see in SB.

4) More dungeons 3/5. Most mmorpgs tend to stick with few (but usually well done) but I do like having a lot of choice in the dungeon department (just wished they were as polished)

5) The name 5/5. Or more specifically, the fact that they bothered to rebuild the game entirely. I never played 1.0 but I knew how wretched it was, so seeing this version made me think "Hm interesting, they actually cared for once... alright I'll bite it and see where it leads me".

3. Community. I believe we have a healthy one.

I like how the developers are listening to the players requests and suggestions.
