Since we do not have a poppy that we can add to our chest, I am wearing a red rose hair pin from now until Nov 12th to pay tribute to all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and liberty
We remember, and we salute you!

This is a really neat idea. I think I'll try it too. :3

I like that you are doing this to show support for something without asking the developers to make unreasonable requests. Cool![]()

I wear one in rl every year for rememberance day but good idea

A very thoughtful gesture.
As a Veteran I would also like to remind some folks out there:
Veterans Day - Honors all Veterans who served in the US Armed Forces.
Memorial Day - Honors those who died while serving in the US Armed Forces.
This not to detract from the OP's post at all. Anyone can celebrate and honor those fallen on Veterans Day or any and every day.
The reason for my post was just a general statement regarding the point of both Holidays, as some are confused by the two.

In Canada, Veteran's day is called Remembrance day, and it IS about remembering those that lost their lives.
I believe the US Memorial day is Victoria day here and it's about honoring an old queen of england or some excuse for a holiday.

While you are matching up the holidays based on dates, I feel it's fair to say that you are incorrect about Remeberence Day equates to a Veterans Day.
Remeberence Day is essentially the same as Memorial Day; to honour those who have fallen in battle. It is celebrated by all common wealth countries. Not just Canada.
Victoria Day, while it falls around the same time as Memorial Day, isn't just a day for the sake of having a holiday. It started in 1901 and it is to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday. Queen Victora is important to Canada because she was the current reign in Britain when Canada was still British North America (BNA) and she essentially helped foster Canada into becoming its own country; and most of her family ended up living in Canada. Some would argue she is more important to Canada than to Britain (they don't celebrate her birthday in Britain).

i'm not gonna say it's a bad idea sounds good but i kinda doubt they will as you'll remember japan was against us in the second world war so i dunno what they do for their day to honor their own fallen from back then
Or probably because it's a US holiday literally no one else cares about. But it's a nice gesture to do something at all, and just use what we have.
