I should add that Koji has also said that Ascian prime is also closer to one of the Ascian's true forms. What we see is generally just a form used to deal with mortals as obviously appearing as some kind of horrifying reaper creature would likely simply terrify people your trying to talk to, to manipulate into summoning primals.
