For the 2nd set of adds it's advisable that the off-tank put their generator down first before the healer does, that way they don't get the multiple adds.

Tell your Scholar that he should Whispering Dawn with Rouse much more. It doesn't even need to be for the party, just on the MT + him/herself when they're tanking ads. I do that in our group and my AST friend doesn't even need to put a regen on me, and I never even have to drop CS.
Whispering Dawn is the biggest reason to bring Eos, they need to learn to use her more!
I'm sorry I didn't give a more detailed response earlier. I was running out of the house for some errands.
Anyways, re: Eos, Whispering Dawn is one of the bigger reasons Scholar can stay in cleric stance for so long even through progression. A combination of the buffed regen from WD and The roused Embrace spam not only helps SCH stay in cleric stance for longer, but will also help YOU as whm and main healer to stay in cleric stance longer too, although you probably shouldnt dps too much until you have better MP management in the fight.
I would honestly suggest using Asylum on the MT during the first parts of the fight, even in general, since A9S doesnt really have aggressive raid damage and most of the "heavy" healing requirements are in keeping the main tank alive. The HoT from Assylum is also ridiculously strong, so coupled with WD and Rouse it would probably help your MP management issues a whole lot.
Fey Illumination is also a very powerful cooldown on Eos, since it's basically a Divine Seal that your SCH can use while your own Divine Seal is on CD to keep your Regens and Eos's spam buffed, or to buff WD even further when heavy AoE healing is needed.
As others have pointed out, you have to stop worrying about the party being topped off 100% of the time, specially once you know raid damage is not constant. Learn to recognize when Médica II and WD are up and leave the party to be naturally healed through regens while you focus either on DPS or healing the MT.
It sounds to me like both of you are still not 100% familiar with the entire potential of your jobs\\' toolkit, which is fine if both of you are mostly new to raiding. Eventually you\\'ll both learn to have better synergy together. Your SCH also shouldn\\'t expect you to completely sólo heal either if you\\'re both relatively new to the whole deal, as solo healing is very challenging and can be stressful. Also, it\\'s much better if both of you DPS 60% of the time than if only he DPSs 80% of the time!
You shouldn\\'t blame all of it on yourself. Co-healing is a team job, and unless you\\'re planning to sólo heal in order to bring 5 DPS you shouldn\\'t have most of the burden on your shoulders.

Thank you all for your advice! We cleared it again last night and am feeling a bit better about it now. I was definitely underestimating my Regens and didn't realize how useful Asylum really is. I'm not perfect at it, but this advice has definitely helped me a ton!

You're doing it right. The worst thing about getting into statics isn't one person underperforming, it's one or two people not showing up and/or not trying to improve.

I just want to add something for new raiders in general, regardless of job. That is if you're serious about raiding and getting better.
I highly suggest either streaming or recording. It doesn't matter if anyone watches it. You should always have a record of every raid. This way you can always go back and review the tape. Doing this allows you to look at every move you make without the added pressure of paying attention to mechanics. You can see all the mistakes you made and come up with ways to correct them, find any spots where maybe you had some free time to throw on cleric and put up some DoTs, better spots in the arena to position yourself, look at your overhealing, if you missed a Cooldown coming up, etc. This will improve your skill level immensely.
