The Legend of Wyvern

I understand the development costs may be a problem, but I'm still stuck on the lore bit. Judging by the chat log in your signature I'm guessing you're familiar with XI's take on a Wyvern pet for Dragoon. What is your opinion on that?

Although I never played the class pass level 20, I am familar with XI's Dragoon job. In terms of balancing I remember the developers having a hard time with it. The task can certainly be done but I'm more inclined to a full fledge class or job that does not rely on the strenght of a pet for his antics =/
