why is castrum and praetorium not an instance

Why isnt this an instance yet after all this time it is total garbage that this isnt an instance. For players that play this game for story ur whole journey to level 50 after doing all those fetch quest is reduced to watching content in an inn room that u dont even use. I thiink that some of the budget should fix this I dont think it would even take that much money. Why is this a dudgeon for toms its garbage total trash I cant believe this is still a dungeon. Like I know others could careless but seriously new players still play the game why is this being ignored.

First and foremost, I recommend using the "undersized" option in Duty Finder and doing these dungeons with as few as two others that are happy to wait for you to properly watch cut scenes.

Secondly, common though it may be, players trying to force you into speed running it has never been an acceptable thing. If they refuse to play nice, it's actually something GMs will punish if you take the time to report it.

Thirdly, "instance" doesn't mean what you think it means. Every dungeon is an instance. They're "instanced" in such a way that it's private to the group of four or eight. Instancing does not necessarily mean it's solo. It sounds like you're saying you want this to be solo content.

Personally, I think the fix would really be to just put all the lengthy cutscenes either prior to actually entering the duty or after completion of the duty.

Yes i meant a solo instance , didnt mean a dungeon one , why isnt it a solo instance , its like the post on msq and a skip potion you might as well have it to hw at least if u basicly make people skip the climax of the whole grind to level 50 its insane and cant believe its not solo at this point

Just that I don't think it really needs a fix, it's part of the specially designed "Duty Roulette: Main Scenario Roulette" anyone queueing for it should assume the common possibility of players enjoying the cutscenes during the run.

Well they dont ha , Im having to watch it now on youtube which ive never done in any game because this wasnt problem, because the journal book in the inn room doesnt work as intended, and everyone commenting on the video is saying that they got lefted behind , so it def needs a fix a new player has like a 20 percent chance of being able to watch the cut scenes so what was the point in the 130 quest to not even see the ending

I even asked if there was a way to skip them since they held up the group so long and everyone told me to just enjoy them, it was no big deal. The groups were clearly over-geared, I still could barely tell you what happened during the fights, they were so fast. Isn't there a way to watch the cutscenes outside of running the instance again? I eventually found the setting to ignore cutscenes I've already seen so as not to hold up future groups.

This happens a lot. People don't care if watch it because it is by now a easy clear. With that in mind I'm still completely lost in the complaining about it. Just watch it, ignore the cruel people that tell you to skip it. To be fair, the coils have similar set up, not as bad but still.

That and it is about 20 minutes worth of cutscene.

Most of Meridanium and Praetorium's cutscenes can be viewed in the Unending Journey (although they're scattered between 'main scenario' and 'duties'), plus a number of small scenes don't appear. A little known aspect of it is also your party appears beside you and even have little gestures and movements in the background when actually viewing the scenes as part of the dungeons, while in the Undending Journey naturally this doesn't occur, so a lot of context is lost.

The problem is, SE underestimated human nature being selfish and impatient, and thought that players would patiently view each cutscene at the same time. Sadly this did not turn out to be the case. Luckily SE listened to players and thus later dungeons like Heavensward's final dungeon are structured much differently, but it still leaves CM and Prae like this.

As others have already stated, try running it undermanned with a couple of friends and ask if you can watch the cutscenes.

I heard they fixed it in hw but why make players that are new , have to make the choice oh should I make my party happy are should I do what I want and get left behind , they could easily make it a solo thing and it wouldnt be an issue
