As frustrating as this DC situation is (lost two solo-deathless runs at 79 and 80 the last two days due to DCs), much like with crafting, there's no way to filter if a DC was from lag or server instability, or if it was from someone shutting off their PC/console. And while it would be nice to have your instance held for five minutes if you DC, it falls into the same situation as above.

Just going to post in this thread even though he is a month old.

I really want to like palace of the death but I just lost four hours of work because the server kicked me..it was no problem with my own connection. Its utterly frustrating trying to get the 1-100 solo achievement. First you need to run it with one save data from 1-100 and you need 0 k.o since the achievement only unlocks after you die in the 101+ floors..(not sure how that makes any sense..) Now thanks to the DC all my work is for nothing. You know I can understand if its because of a mistake I made, or because RNG is just cruel and you have monsters that spawn while you already fight for your life..but having so many hours just destroyed because SE servers had a little problem..I can already see it that if I start again from floor 1 I will get the next DC on floor 98, just to spite me more..If we could get the achievement after completing floor 100 with a k.o or two than this would be less a problem, since I could just start at 51 again if I want to go to floor 101 and higher, but for the achievement I have to start at floor 1 again with no k.o along the line..at least give us the chance to log back in.

Not going to touch the palace again for some time..that is not my definition of a challenge..

I think the japanese and french translations say, that you have to go "beyond" floor 1-100. So, only the english translation seems to be wrong

German translation is wrong too then. X_X Still its frustrating that you can lose all your progress to a DC. I mean from 51-100 its still quite the time but from 1-100 its hours of running. And just one DC can destroy this. I have no problem if its because of my mistakes or because some bad RNG but a DC really hurts. Especially if you do it with a group and one person has a DC, the whole group is punished for this, because the person cant join back thus all have to start new. Giving people at least 5 minutes to join back would help a little and nobody can really use that in a bad way. (IMO)

The hard part is not dying..because you do have to go past 100 to get the achievement (which is dumb tbh) because if you beat 100 then you've already done it...why do you need to go any further?

I started 1-50 again after the patch but I only got the achievement after dieing around floor 80..I also started at floor 51 solo and managed to go till 112 yet I did not get the achievement after dieing on 112. So either its a bug or you have to finish it from 1-100 with the same save file. (Thus a lot of hours)

About DC with group. There were posts on reddit that said that people were unable to join back because they had a DC and the group went on to the next floor. The group could not go further than these floors and the other person could not join back. So either a bug again or its depends if the people went on or not. If its not true and people can join back without a problem well thats at least one worry less.

Still this does not change the fact that solo is way more frustrating than it should be..I was looking forward to a challenge..and not having to lose hours of progress because the server kicked me..thats not my definition of a challenge. Like I said my problem is not that I died because of some mistakes of mine..I already managed to go solo till floor 120..my problem is that if I want to get the second achievement I have to manage to go through floor 1-100 on one character without any k.o..But since a DC counts as a k.o I just dont feel like visiting this place again soon..

mh, a friend of me had a dc at floor ~170, he logged back in after some minutes and they could clear the remaining floors up to 200 all together
DCs only seem to affect solo people

It seems only to count as a party KO if someone gets a DC and the rest of the party zones to the next floor.

Still have yet to see Floor 101.
I'd have done it on day one if i could have.
I may try to make some time to solo with my chocobo after 3.5 hits.
