PS4 sqare menu from chat broken

Same issue here. Unable to select people in chat or items linked in chat.

Relogging solves it for a time but it stops working again.

Yes this error is showing up for me as well

You cannot use the directional pad and select items in the chat menu, it usually happens after you leave an instance.

You can only resolve the issue temporarily by logging out of the game and relogging in.

Steps:

1. Enter an instance usually premade/full party
2. Instance prevents directional pad functionality in Chat log.
3. Resolution is to log out and log back in.
