    [dev1208] About repairs (NPC mainly)

Was wondering if a community dev could find out if the repair NPC will be streamlined either for 1.20 or in the future.

At the moment it has multiple options then more options followed by more options.

Why does it still ask if you need synthesis support if the effects have been abolished for example ?

Surely it should be much easier, ie talking to NPC, NPC saying "whatever it is he says" and then asking you which item would you like repaired.

Also the list should be combined into one window, instead of asking you to go to the next.

Please pass these simple suggestions onto the dev team,

well synthesis support is still needed, especially since its needed for leves since it still uses old recipes

Could make it a bit more straightforward i think. Where you actually understand what the npc is saying.

The old recipes are being removed in 1.20. (I think)

And even so it takes less than a minute to run to the proper guild to get the support training so there is still no reason for the repair NPC to have it.

if you are even in the right city, if you need cloth and are in gridania, it doesnt take a couple of minutes.

But if they are removing all the recipes by 1.20 I have no problem with this, but as they are not removed at the moment, I see need in the synth support.

Ok then make a second NPC for crafting support, repairs can't even fail anymore so there is no reason for it to be on the repair NPC.. right ?

This would make sense that in future they could then just deleted the synthesis NPC and it wouldn't effect the repair NPC.

I think it would be more steamlined if I choose the option "Repair all items" the total cost of gil is displayed before hand and only asks to accept one time, you don't need to see the condition percentage each time.
You can still have the option to repair a SINGLE item... but it's just another little nuisance that could be quicker.

Currently.. Repair Items: (*note this is based on memory, so it's not 100% accurate lol plus i just spam enter to repair all my crud)

Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES
Item is % and will cost X to repair! Proceed?
    YES

Future (desired repair items): repairs only items <100% condition

Repair All items for XX,XXX gil? (calculated total, condition % changes do not need to be displayed)
Clicking - YES : all items repaired
Clicking - NO : return user to "welcome / small chat" NPC menu

    ^Yup that too.

Way to many menus and confirmations for something that should be simple.

I hope in 2.0 we get a right click to repair interface for PC users.
