    Taking hate when boss isnt targettable

    Hey you guys. I have a suggestion:
    Can you make Aggro Bar frozen when the boss is untargettable? I mean... In Alexander Soul of the Creator (Savage), during the Add Phase (is quite long) me, as WHM, I have to heal hard when 2 big adds pop up and the boss isnt targettable (of course) during that phase but I can see the color of the Aggro becoming Yellow, Orange and then Red meanwhile we are killing adds. I'm wondering... why I have to steal Hate to my Main Tank if he can't really attack the boss to keep Aggro up? I'm using Shroud as well in that Phase and resetting my Bar, but anyway I steal really fast it. If the boss is outside the arena he have to be "Invulnerable" to all things (that's what happening with Dots now).
    I dunno if I explained my self (I hope yes xD).

    You have a button that instantly drops half your hate. Use it before a boss returns from a break and you won't have a problem.

    this. use shroud later.

    if you have 1000 enmity and reduce it by half you have 500 enmity. if you gain now again 1000 enmity before the boss comes back you have 1500 enmity. but if you gain 2000 enmity and then use shorud you only have 1000 enmity when the boss comes back.

    if you still have enmity problems it's up to the tank to gain more enmity before the boss gets untargetable. this will lower the dps of the tank of course and makes your mana management more difficult - but that's part of the fun, isn't it?

    Its not that the real problem. I mean... I know when use Shroud (its part of my Job xD) and restore MP/reset Hate... but, for me, the real problem (quite no sense) its that the Aggro Bar goes up even if the boss is untargettable meanwhile dots or every time of attack not working.
    In this case I prefer a freeze of that bar.
    Its like "Everything or nothing" ahah

    If there is a ninja in the party, ask him to cast smokescreen on you.
    If the ninja uses Shadewalker on the MT before the pull it will help the MT generate a lot at hate.

    Also, if the MT is a paladin, they can cast Stoneskin on themselves to increase their hate.
    I don't know if DRK or WAR have something like that.

    The only other things to do is try not to generate too much hate yourself, which may be tough depending on how much damage the group is taking.

    I kinda get what she's trying to say, it doesn't really make sense that the healers are still generating aggro on the boss when the tanks can't even do anything about it and the boss isn't even there. Granted the tanks shouldn't ever lose to the healer in this time, but I get it

    It doesn't reset the enmity, it only halves it. If you use it expecting to have 0 enmity instead of 50% of your previous value, you'll be in for a bad time!

    If a healer has to pump out the heals to keep everyone alive during a hectic add phase in content, whether every other player is following the mechanics to a tee or are frantically confused and the main big bad isn't present on the battleground, then really it's a bit ignorant of people to be saying "Ugh, you have Shroud/Luminiferous Aether, use it." Like really now, don't you think healers know that? And yet, if we need MP if we're starving for it and regens aren't up for MP (Melee DPS might be starving even more for TP, or the Bard/Machinist needs to focus down on mobs so the damage reduction isn't worth it), we may just pop that Refresh to get the MP to keep your asses alive and thus we don't have it ready for when the main boss comes back from invulnerability.

    The least the Development Team can do to resolve this frustrating circumstance is to freeze all enmity for all players when a mob is untargetable and not present to attack (just so that if a boss is invulnerable because an add is keeping them that way, enmity rules still apply).

    Just to be sure, you are aware that when he reappears, he uses chronowhatever which is a reset right? Tanks need to jump on that asap. Or else buh bye healer.


    But on topic, the tank shedding aggro and healer gaining aggro is nothing new. This was also possible back in 2nd coil if healers overhealed during add phase or groups struggled during adds and requiring extra healing to recover

    Well, yeah, I know this problem was on Second Coil too etc.
    Mine was just an example... but this topic isnt a "Tip Topic, please say to me how to dont let Hate Bar grown up" but its a Topic to suggest something like Freeze that Bar if the Boss isnt targettable...that's all.
    Because, for me, its quite a no sense to be careful of something that my static mate can't handle with me. I can half with Shroud etc but then? Phase Add can go ahead or maybe have it in CD because I used it already before to restore MP etc.
