Lol, you don't realize how it feels for us collectors, but like what I said earlier it made me realize it's not worth it to collect anymore. This was an eye opener for me and I guess for some as well. I'm glad SE did made revisions but it will never change my mind, I'll use my money on other things rather than digital items. So again TY SE for the eye opener.

Everyone so butthurt about the fact that SE said they will give another avenue to obtaining the minion claiming it cheapens the selective status of it.
I'm honestly waiting for it to be something like "Participate in 5000 Feast matches" or maybe even "Participate in 2000 Ranked Feast matches. (For reference Aviars, who is the biggest person against this change at all in this thread, for the first 2 seasons had less than 1k ranked matches played. Not sure for season 3 cause not ranked :P )
The average for the 3 seasons is ~600 season 1, ~400 season 2, and currently ~200 season 3. That's 1200 matches in ranked in roughly 7-8 months so far. And that's with the people who WANT to PvP in feast.
I would be ok with that level of devotion being the tipping point.

True I'm sure it will be like that, 5000 wins in ranked PVP.![]()

The 5k general and 2k ranked only numbers I made up are just from doing feast period. The 5k is prolly wishful thinking and would not be limited to ranked feast but all feast modes in general but I do want an actual true GRIND.There is a significant time sink involved doing matches stated. Like i said the average top 100 numbers so far are ~1200 matches in 7-8 months. But since these are the 'cream of the crop' avid pvp players, you can assume the normal player will only put forward ~700-800 in that same timespan IF they kept the motivation going(minus the freaks, but you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) . This means if the person is really dedicated to PvP for the reward they are investing ~1 1/2 years to the cause (again minus the freaks, but you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). Overall, a net gain for PvP'ers cause you get a suc-ERR-dedicated player for that length.
I'm hesitant to wanna claim wins as the achievement status cause I'm more an advocate of getting people into pvp and do it for a long time but always feeling at least somewhat productive. But, playing devils advocate, if it were by wins you'd prolly have to do ~750 wins.

Well this current change feels pretty bad for me as an earring collector.. I have all the earrings in the game up to this point but now that it's literally impossible to get them all (I won't even bother trying to get to top in feast, literally impossible) I won't be ever spending a dime on an SE product. Thanks Obama.Lol, you don't realize how it feels for us collectors, but like what I said earlier it made me realize it's not worth it to collect anymore. While I understand that this is most likely meant to be satirical, it bears mentioning that Minions, when they were first added to the game, had NO PURPOSE other than to be collectable. That's what they were for! And people DID collect them, and some were religious enough about it that they managed to collect ALL of them. And unlike mounts, if you were in ARR from the start it was possible to collect them all. By making some minions exclusive and limited Feast rewards, SE broke that. While, theoretically, SOME of the hardcore collectors could still do well enough in Feast to keep their collection complete, the majority of them could not.Well this current change feels pretty bad for me as an earring collector.. Earrings were not originally intended to be collectable; they were equipment that you wore to boost your stats, and until the Glamour system was added to the game, even earrings that were clearly meant to be shown off (like the Bomb earring) had stats on them. While it's theoretically possible that a player might collect earrings, certainly the pool of individuals who have a complete collection would be MUCH smaller than those who collect minions - particularly since, as with mounts, if you weren't around in 1.0 (and collecting earrings even back then), your collection would not be complete. There's simply no room to compare them to minions.
It was a mistake, SE acknowledged that it was a mistake, and they are taking steps to correct it. That's pretty much all that needs to be said at this point.
As long as the achievement will be sufficiently hard/time-consuming to get I'm mostly fine.
I just hope this won't be the fate for every awesome limited reward that someone wants and focuses their energy on wailing about it rather than actually getting it.
A serious warning for Square Enix:
You have so many to fix and balance, you can not keep them all in sight...
So you say we will get them "later" but then we have new things that we will get later too and so on...
In add you have multiple things at same time fixing, so we have there getting something later and then there something later and so on...
YOU WILL LOSE OVERVIEW IF THAT CONTINUOUS !!
The maid gear for some EU countries and now the feast season 3... what else you will "delay" for "some"?
It will help you a lot if you THINK through it before RELEASING and not rush out a first aid...
An incredibly bad decision to give up on what you decided, right away as some greedy "must have it all or we die" collector guys comes up to you crying, you immediately back up on your decision. That is not the SE I want to see. I am very disappointed, lets see what happens to POTD prizes (if there ever will be any, prolly never will because of this scandal) when PvPers come crying after this marvelous example. GG. Please have the balls to stand behind your decisions, this is spineless. Not kool.
Imo you should encourage people to do different things for different prizes, instead this happens. Some people already quit feast just because of this decision.
I do not care about the prizes at all myself, I could care less, same goes for the rankings, but seeing PvP suffer from something like this is not nice. Quite infact the very opposite.
You need to step it up bigtime regarding PvP in general. I am waiting for something great.
I love you SE you are the best, but you need to do something to fix the negative impact you caused on PvP. It feels like you just cast Doom on us.
