RIP Minion Collectors :(

Perhaps people don't have the same views on the A12 mount because it will be available to anyone with a pulse in a year. Nevermind how when someone else gets the mount it doesn't remove you from the pool of people who can get it. Just a couple thoughts.

If you're a minion collector and are whining about this, your resolve is weak and pathetic.

If you say it's too unlikely to even try to get the top 10 rewards, didn't you think about how unlikely it is for you to get all the minions ever when you decided to start collecting them?

Either you decide that you're going to get all the minions and at least try, or then just accept that you can't get all of those minions ever.

Did you think you'd get all minions if you just drop some cash?

If you want it enough, you'll put the work in to get it.

Give it 6 months to a year when there new players that join the game want those minions/mount and want to know why that can get them just look around it already happens with older limited content that been out.

You forget in future there will be other rewards that are limited its nice to have exclusivity if everyone could have everything it would be just boring. New ppl want it? Yea they do but still doesnt give a reason to not do exlusive rewards. If they would do pvp tournament and give out exlusive rewards would you complain too? Only thing I see here are ppl who cry about smth that isnt a big deal further more "then they should do it for pve too blabla" maybe they do? maybe not? who knows the game is so focused on pve why would you just suddenly think because smth in pvp is like this it should be done in pve too logic much? PvE gets enough content you guys shouldnt really complain I wouldnt even mind server first titles etc.

Btw. checked some ppl who complaining they dont even have the non exclusive mounts but complain about mount collecting k

They either need to do exclusive rewards across the board whether it be 2.1 PVE content, 3.4 PVP content or future 4.0 content.

They have though. We have had cash shop timed exclusives that are no longer available. Not to mentioned the pve timed exclusives in the shape of the yokai watch event, which is now gone potentially forever and wasn't just 2 minions but a whopping 13 of them.

In the end..this is all Yoshi's fault for trying to make a politically correct PvP-Paradise of decency for all. Solution? Grow a pair. Cussing out nooblets (and vets, woo~) goes as much hand in hand with mmo pvp as does a box of Kleenx and a copy of- nvm. Its a time honored tradition..a rite of passage. Personally myself, I LIKE getting critized, insulted, and told do go fornicate with a cactus. Cuz sooner or later, yer gonna be on the other team...and thats when it reeeeally gets fun. THATS good PvP!

If you want kindness and friendship..start a warm fc. Go stand in town and give 1 million gil to every noobie running by...you'll get LOTS of kind words then. Let PvP be the wasteland of rudeness that its always been. All things considered, even at its worst in 14 its still mild. (Ballista days long gone by..where there was shout..and sending personalized 'aaah haa..yer mom died ina car accident' tells.)

Then again..whys this even a topic? If youre that bothered by comments, just switch chat modes to a silent screen. No, doesnt improve team communication but w/e..

Lololol...you thought THAT was being toxic? No..that was simply being realistic to pvp in general in ANY mmo. Me being toxic would amount to something like- "I can't WAIT to see the 1st idiot to cancel their ffxiv sub then go commit suicide because they can't complete a minion collection in view of missing 5 little pixels on a screen and are too lazy to get off their backside and do some actual pvp." THAT..would be being toxic.

Feast season has just started. Lots of time to learn the ropes and rank if your minion collection means that much to you. Same thing with the mounts. Insteada wasting time on the forums bitching..go que some FL..get some experience. Pvp is difficult yes, but for the work pvpers invested..this time theyre actually getting some eyecatching rewards for the invested blood. "Blah blah blah..I dun wanna do ickie pvp but I wan mah moun'n'minions!t /cry" . . .deal with it, /shrug.

in-game stuff connected to real stuff are exclusive to me because of shipping issues, i can't have them even if i have the money.

Limited time.
Competing against others.
And limited availability.


Several people here have said they wouldn't have a problem if it wasn't as limited as it is. They don't mind having to pvp to earn it, the wouldn't mind it taking a while to earn it...

But when it's limited to the timespan, requires high skill to get, and limited to only 10 people for a whole datacenter...

It's really stretching it for most people.

So we can never have limited rewards that require skill and hard work to acquire just because some people can't stand not having what others have? Imagine if this garbage flew in other competitions. Imagine if championship trophies/rings were easy to acquire and only needed time and not effort to get. Imagine if EVERYONE owned the god damn UFC Middleweight Championship Belt, imagine if everyone owned their own League of Legends 2016 World Championship Summoner's Cup, imagine if everyone had their own Olympic Gold medal.

It wouldn't fly, and it shouldn't. There should be rewards for people that put in the time and effort to acquire them.
