As much as you think you're right, it's ironic how the top post from the PVP forum is a person from Balmung stating 'PVP Behaviour is embarassing'.

I have yet to be proven wrong. At the very least, I'm weighing my own personal experience of being a polite and helpful PvPer and playing with/against other polite, helpful players versus a negative statement made with no supporting evidence or explanation. And I do speak of some Balmung players when I say that. Not all of them, as I did say before that there are bad apples. Not everyone's going to be nice, and plenty of people sometimes just have a bad day, or a bad party. But that's far from exclusive to PvP and we all know this.

So I again ask for explanation of what makes it so toxic that "they don't deserve any rewards"?

What you're not getting is that even if collectors want to do PvP, it's practically impossible to get both the solo and party minions due to the time restriction.

It's not a "time restriction", it's a PRIZE in a competition. Seriously, in any other medium people would be like "wow congratulations for being the best at pvp" when they show off their mount (like when you see people with the A12 mount in the first few weeks), but instead it's a "time restriction" because everything has to be selfish in this game.

Here's an idea, if you want it so bad, do the content. If you don't get it big deal - the guy who did will enjoy the trophy very much, because it is what the prize is designed for.

Besides, the chances are that they will figure out a way to put them back into circulation in stormblood, as they have done with many other pieces of content (hell, they screw over crafters in every patch these days)

Already kinda is. PvP and PvE is different you cant do rankings/tournaments in PvE content.

Server first/Ahead of the Curve PVE achievements are a thing in many games. This game has also has POTD rankings. WoW had dungeon rankings for a while. Blizzcon and other conventions have held PVE tournaments many times where two teams compete for fastest/cleanest kills.

Also not really, it isn't already like that. PVE rewards aren't available only while the PVE season is current.

Perhaps people don't have the same views on the A12 mount because it will be available to anyone with a pulse in a year. Nevermind how when someone else gets the mount it doesn't remove you from the pool of people who can get it. Just a couple thoughts.

Ye but PvP tournaments/rankings are more common. This game dont really is made for speedruns and even then maybe they plan such stuff in future? Saying PvP cant have this cause PvE doesnt atm is just selfish af. lol
