As others have pointed out, dropping grit isn't bad, in fact it's something all tanks do.

...yes, even Paladin drops grit sometimes!

As one of the best dk on my server and as a french (sorry for my english), i can tell you this :

If you dont lose hate or take big damage (Need work on CD and healing) dont put grit.

Also on trash mob its hard to remove grit because of the damage and the hate (you need to look the groups hate on many mob).

Im always removing grit on boss in dungeons/ 24 raid/ normal creator, in savage i remove grit after the pull, except a12s

There is a legendary way to get some mp it has been useful on every final fantasy.
Its called ether and its derivatives, seriously at low levels it works good

I keep a few handy, although I rarely use them now that I have more knowledge of MP restoration.

While agree with you, as a WHM main, I would like to emphasize that PUGs are garbage players. That may sound harsh, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I have run dungeons as a DRK where the healer will do nothing but heal (no dps or utility) and I have almost died. I would not risk dropping Grit with PUGS, they simply cannot be trusted.

If I see the healer is competent, then I may consider it. Otherwise? Grit stays on during trash pulls.
