Fps lag, bad graphics card, what can i do?

Hi there! my computer specs are...
    gpu : Geforce gt 610
    Ram: 8 gigs
    other stuff: no idea
I've tried all of the ingame options, and that worked for a while. then.. I renewed my membership after the patch (Halloween) and I can barely get 10 fps when walking around bluefog or any other typically no lag area.
the question: what do you think I could do outside of my game to improve graphics (ive already updated my driver, and I wont be getting a new graphics card atleast for a while)
    Thanks!

Sounds like a connection problem. You may want to make sure your band with is high enough if multiple people on at the same time, make sure your not running back ground apps that are updating or have anti virus in silent mode.. You could also check fast.com to get an idea on your current speed. The last thing that you can do is that your monitor refresh rate is set up properly and try running it in windowed mode to test difference. Hope this helps.

yeah that is pretty good but depends on how many people are sharing the service. Example if your on it is anyone else streaming videos and such. You could also try wtfast.com to test it.

Your graphics card is bad, like insanely bad. The best thing you can do is to lower all the ingame settings possible, specifically your resolution. Is this a laptop or a desktop? Regardless of whichever it is, your gpu might be overheating from dust and you should clean out your pc.

Check your windows power settings and make sure its on high performance and not efficient or power saving.

If you're on windows 10 you need to check and make sure your gameDVR is disabled.

Switching to directx 9 from dx11 in your game launcher might help as well if its possible.
