    POTD concern

    with the patch coming tuesday i did look about info that was given and i did read something kinda concerning.

    like from 100-200 you will have litterally no reward for do them.

    my concern is yoshida have said it's extremely hard, comparing this to savage and he want us to do for.... no reward? do i'm the only one missing the point there?

    i'm all for the challenge first and reward after, but don't get me wrong, i feel a challenge beated must a sort of reward, for give an incentive reason to try to beat this content.

    like i did said in other post my vision is gear is a means to beat the challenge. i get that potd don't have this need, but expect people to partake into something of very high level of skill without reward is kinda.... naive, no?

    what will be the incentive reason to go fight the floor 100-200?

    I would not worry too much about it, i find it highly unlikely that the new floors will be hard like Savage content.
    Did he say really hard or hard compaired to what potd has been? Because it is fall asleep easy right now
    And not to mention new weapons with higher ilv.
    The preview page shows the new weapons(just no stats and what not) on them yet

    He said last 50 floors would be compared to savage in difficulty. Now is that the difficulty in solo or in a party that is the question.

    while the fanfest it was said clearly that it was as hard as savage. the question remain, plus i doubt the new weapon will be on par with the 260 that need 7 week for get, at best we can expect a 255.

    because soo far, the treasure was nice add, but it was craft cosmetic, i doubt they can make tons of new cosmetic come from nowhere, and since the weapon is only one.... then it will be the red one we did seen.

    what will be the incentive reason for face 101-200 floor? materia? great, but the floor 50 already offer it and i'm kinda sure it will be easier to do 1-50 than do 101-200.
    gear? outside the weapon no gear.
    a random loot mount? ermm.... ok sure, i doubt it will motivate me, personally i use most of the time my legacy chocobo.
    a title? well you do it one time and it's over.

    maybe tie the relic to the 100-200 floor? will be neat.

    the trouble is yoshida see this like an activity of low importance... even pvp must be more important. when palace of the dead have the potential to allows small guild to organize event and such. small group of friend to gather or even favorize meeting.

    i find it sad that this content don't give a decent reward that match the difficulty.

    well bragging right work when you do it the first or one time... not work well for make people redo it over and over and over. sadly carrot and stick is the way now.

    i really think they are missing the potential of this content. it was said in other thread how it need to be more complex, adding rare objective that don't recquire killing or stuff like this. like a floor that only one room where the goal is to survive at the enemy wave? or stuff like this.

    ps: another point, not everyone love shining weapon... honestly i hate it, then it don't give me a very high reason to do it.

    the point is i highly doubt they will make a full armor cosmetic for the palace of the dead what is a shame, because it will have make people do it over and over and over.(depending of the design naturally)

    Yoshi said there will be a leaderboard for the more savage floors and ratings for those who clear it, so it will cater to those that savage currently caters to, the type of people who do speed runs to see who can beat a fight faster, there is no in game prize for such a thing because the people that do it, do it for the rush, the challenge, they don't need stupid reskinned crap to wave around afterwards...

    sadly it's not a large part of the community, then they really need to work on decent reward that only palace of the dead type content can offer. since glamour is the true end game, give new skin that only this sort of content can give will be more than welcome. we will see anyway

    Totally saw that coming, I know it's not a large part that's why the more casual gamer is getting easier floors to battle against, with silly prizes as incentive. Because having fun and some challenge are what?... ><
