Because their products are consumables, not one-time deals like other DoH.First, I'd like to say that I like these changes, but I think they should complete the unfinished thought. In addition to these changes (maybe it would have to wait til 2.0 due to server issues or such), I would like them to untie the repair process from the bazaar process. So that you could simply flag and offer gil for each item instantly w/o having to unequip it. This is one of those things that just bugs the hell out of me. If the NPC can figure out how to repair equiped gear, then surely we can too. Doing something like this would streamline the process further, and could really help out with repairs when your on the go (dungeon runs, etc).
The other thing I was curious about was that information we had prviously heard about doing away with accessory repairs and having ALC and CUL "charge" them full with potions and food dishes and what not. What happened with this idea? Was it thrown out? If not, then when can we expect to see it? If so, then how will ALC and CUL be able to participate more in the economy seeing as they don't repair anything or materia slot anything?
They haven't told us that this idea was thrown out. It's in the roadmap. So I'd say expect it unless they say otherwise.
