    Optimizing Settings

Okay so for the longest time, I've been having issues setting my framerate correctly when I put the game into Fullscreen. Well by chance, I happened upon a thread on Steam for a different game that said you have you turn off Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel in order to uncap the frames for that game. My problem was the complete opposite. Regardless of whatever option I picked in game, my FPS would go up to 144 when I went fullscreen. Long story short, I disabled Vsync but I saw a bunch of other options in there under the same category and I'm wondering what settings everyone uses for the game?
I've got a GTX970, 16GB of RAM, and an i7-5930K so my computer can run this on optimal settings for sure. Thanks in advance
To clarify, I'm asking what settings everyone has for this game under Nvidia Control Panel->Manage 3D Settings->Program Settings->FFXIV

I've got everything on default settings, but in game if you go to system configuration (ctrl+k) and scroll down to the bottom, you'll see a frame rate limit option.

This is my Nvidia Control Panel.
I didn't create a separate profile for FFXIV, so it should be using my global settings.
