We need a Buster Sword glamour weapon to go along with the Cloud Strife outfit that is already in-game.

Didn't they say they'd do one but want to give people time to enjoy xv?
Yes we will do. Yoshida already said he expects one. When we don't know but we will.
Maybe they'll be doled out as bonus items for the next live event they want you to pay for.![]()
Yoshida has mused about an FFXV event in practically every interview for the past year+. He's good friends with Tabata and they've apparently discussed it extensively. It's pretty safe to say that it's happening at this point-- it's really only a matter of when.
A few months ago he mentioned that while it would be beneficial for marketing to place such an event close to the release of the game, they would much rather do it when XV's been out for a while so we the players have more time to play XV and understand its lore. That way we get more out of it in the end.
Honestly in my opinion they failed at a perfect opportunity when the movie came out. Keep in mind they can still make it up, but I would prefer it before the actual release.
What I'm refering to, will have some spoilers so...you were warned.
At the end of the movie, the main character seemingly dies. He could have ended up in FFXIV's world for the event, and tackle some left over problems while "finding his way home", or some nonsense. That would have been the perfect set up for almost ANY kind of fight/event, and you can provide rewards tied to either the movie or the game.
Wasted! Wasted I tell you!
I thought we would but now I'm not so sure. World of Final Fantasy didn't get one and FFXV's release date is pretty close. Ideally you'd want the event before to increase interest rather than competing with it once it's out. So I'm leaning towards no.
Yeah you're probably right but they said they will release it as episodic content, so that might help for an earlier release date.
