Request for a method of force disconnecting character from server after DC

The data center difficulties have not impacted me too much, but something that just started happening this week is this:

• Disconnected from game
• Log out and reset connection to game
• Log in again
• Receive Error 3102, still logged into the game
• Repeat for 10-15 minutes

There is no recourse for me to force the character on the server end to disconnect. I would have assumed that a new handshake to the lobby server would tell the game servers "hey that character actually DC'd btw" but apparently that is not what is happening.

For this event, under the System Configuration, or someplace on the login screen, a button for "Disconnect character from game server" might prove helpful for when this happens.

Something that I have done in the past that forces the server to let go is switching data centers then back again. I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but it has worked for me 100% of the time (barring actual server issues).

I tried it. I have characters on four data centers and those character also got the message that I was still logged in.
